Arts

The Arts play an important role in Abbotsford school life.

Art provides a platform for students to explore the use of natural materials and talent is encouraged through a variety of media including design technology, textiles and pottery.

Music is given a high profile and children are able to learn an instrument of their choice. There is an orchestra, steel pans group and a choir. Concerts are eagerly awaited each term and recitals are encouraged to give children the confidence to perform in public.

A lively drama programme goes on all year and external Speech and Drama exams are offered through LAMDA.

Abbotsford has a fully equipped stage with lighting and sound system for all productions.
