Dear Parents
I hope you enjoyed our Harvest festival this afternoon.  I can’t believe that half term is here already!  We look forward to welcoming Mr Cook after half term.
Breakfast club launch!
After half term we will be offering breakfast as an optional extra in our before school care, for a two week trial period.  Breakfast will be available until 8.15am and will include cereal, toast, fresh fruit, croissants and fruit juice.  For the first two weeks there will be no change in cost, should the trial prove successful the extra cost for breakfast will be 40p.  Therefore it will be £2 per day including breakfast or £1.60 without breakfast.
Please book your children into Breakfast Club in the usual way; forms are available on the table outside the hall.
Lost property
A Timex watch has been handed into Mrs Satchwell, please see her if you have mislaid a watch.  There are still quite a few unnamed items in the lost property basket, please check for lost items after half term.
Football tournaments

Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Princethorpe College tournament and the Midland’s ISA tournament.  The children enjoyed their games and were a credit to the school.  They achieved some wins and draws and also suffered a few losses.  Well done especially to Jack Carroll and Matthew Rush for their goal scoring and also to Ziyad Azad and Charlie Curtis for some excellent goalkeeping.  The ISA tournament was held at the City of Birmingham University sports facility and 32 teams took part, it was an excellent experience for the children.  Thanks to Mr Higgs for organising our involvement in both events.

Plea from Foundation Stage

Our outdoor role play area is going to be a log cabin for next half term.  If you have any old children’s coats, hats, scarves or gloves could you send them in to Nursery or Reception please.

Infant’s football

Unfortunately the Wednesday coaching cannot continue next half term, however I have found a replacement coach from Kenilworth Warden’s FC, but he is only available on a Tuesday.  I have written to parents of children already signed up, but if you child would like to join this club please let me know on 3rd November, the cost would be £15 for half a term’s coaching.  It would be great if we could have a few more new faces joining this club!

Parent’s Evenings Open afternoon
Parent’s evenings for years 1 to 6 will be held on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th November from 4-6pm.  Forms will be sent home on the first day of next half term for you to book an appointment.
Foundation Stage parents are welcome to our Open Afternoon from 1.30 to 3.30pm, we shall be performing some songs for you at 3pm.

Many thanks to you all for your support this half term whilst I have been Acting Head.  I hope you all have an enjoyable half term break.

Regards

Jane Chatwin
